How long does botox last?Though varied based on individual, anti-wrinkle results of neuromodulators (botox, Dysport, Nuceiva) typically last 3 to 4 months.

How much does botox cost in Nanaimo, BC?For first visits, botox is $10/unit with Dr. Heather Iverson. Every appointment following is $9/unit. The number of botox units required for each area will vary based on the individual but the following is the average number of units required per area:⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ FROWNER: approx. 20 units⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ FOREHEAD LINES: approx. 10 units⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ SMILE LINES (EYES): approx. 10-20 units

How much downtime is required after botox injections?While there is no downtime required after botox, there are certain activities you'll need to refrain from doing in the 24 hours following your appointment: exercising, using saunas or hot tubs, alcohol consumption, massages, facials and dental treatments. It is also extremely important to avoid laying down, looking down for an extensive period of time and touching your face during the first 4 hours following your botox injections.

What type of fillers does Dr. Iverson offer?Fillers can treat lips, cheeks, under eyes, jawline, nasolabial folds, marionette lines and more. Each area requires a slightly different formula of filler for optimal results. Will I bruise after filler injections?Bruising after filler injections is more common than you may think. Approximately 18 to 24 percent of patients do experience bruising post-filler treatments. To help avoid this, Dr. Iverson always recommends her patients drink plenty of water post-treatment and avoid increasing their blood pressure. This means, no strenuous exercise, saunas, hot tubs, cryotherapy or any extended period of time in a extreme weather (hot or cold). Avoiding alcohol consumption for a few days before and after your filler injections is a great way to decrease your risk of bruising as alcohol thins the blood. I don't see availability for a few months, how can I see Dr. Iverson sooner?Dr. Iverson sees patients weekly on the mainland in Chilliwack and Langley and monthly on Vancouver Island in Nanaimo and Parksville. For two days each month, Dr. Iverson see patients exclusively at Xpose Salon. It is always recommended to book well in advance to avoid disappointment. How can I book a consultation with Dr. Iverson?All appointments with Dr. Iverson include a built-in consultation to create a treatment plan your comfortable with. Once discussed, it is completely up to the patient if they'd like to go ahead with the treatment. You will never be pressured to go through with any treatment.
